In 2016, the annual Book Expo America (the largest book-trade fair in the U.S.) chose Poland as its Guest of Honor. The Polish Book Institute in Krakow organized the country’s large exhibit, bringing titles and authors from Poland. Aquila Polonica volunteered to assemble a collection of books about Poland in English to be featured as part of that exhibit.

We reached out to other publishers and English-language authors in the U.S. and the U.K., who were very generous in providing copies of their books for the exhibit. As a result, we assembled a collection of more than 100 books that were showcased at BEA as part of Poland’s exhibit.
