November 18–21, 2010 – Los Angeles, CA – Association for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies 2010 National Convention – Aquila Polonica exhibited at the ASEEES Convention, one of only two exhibitors specializing in Polish titles. We had the opportunity to exhibit all our titles available at that time, including the Siege DVD which we screened continuously on a laptop at our booth. More…
November 12–14, 2010 – Denver, CO – Polish Perspectives at National Council for Social Studies – Siege DVD was among the Aquila Polonica titles exhibited in the Polish Perspectives booth at the 2010 Annual Conference of the National Council for Social Studies, held November 12-14, 2010, in Denver, CO.
August 3, 2010 – Sam Bryan on the Leonard Lopate Show, WNYC – WNYC radio host Leonard Lopate interviews Sam Bryan, son of photojournalist Julien Bryan who filmed and narrated the historic newsreel Siege, recently issued for the first time on DVD by Aquila Polonica.
May 28–30, 2010 – Gazeta (Canada) – Feature article on Aquila Polonica, The Mermaid and the Messerschmitt, and the April 8, 2010 multimedia presentation in Montreal by Aquila Polonica president Terry Tegnazian and actress Yaelle Wittes titled “War Through a Woman’s Eyes, 1939-1940,” which included the screening of the rare historic newsreel Siege. May 25–27, 2010 – New York City – Book Expo America – Aquila Polonica books and DVD were on display at the Independent Book Publishers Assn. booth 3145 and the National Book Network booth 3881.
April 9, 2010 – Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – The Polish Embassy – The gracious Polish Embassy building was packed with a standing room only audience for “War Through a Woman’s Eyes, 1939-1940”: Multi-media presentation by Aquila Polonica publisher Terry Tegnazian, with historic photos, dramatic readings from The Mermaid and the Messerschmitt by actress Yaelle Wittes, and screening of rarely seen historic newsreel Siege, now available in DVD for the first time from Aquila Polonica.
