In a one-hour multimedia program that includes five short historical videos along with a PowerPoint of photos and maps, Aquila Polonica president Terry Tegnazian provided an overarching look at Poland’s role as one of the Allies in WWII, and shared why and how she was hooked by the heroism of the Poles in WWII. At the invitation of the Polish Embassy in Ottawa, and the Polish Consulates in Montreal and Toronto, she presented this program to enthusiastic audiences a total of five times in three cities over the week of October 22.
During the week, it was her pleasure to lunch with the Polish Ambassador Andrzej Kurnicki and First Secretary Paweł Wołowski, as well as with Montreal Consul General Dariusz Wiśniewski, and Toronto Consul for Culture & Public Diplomacy Andrzej Szydło, and to be warmly welcomed by Toronto Consul General Krzysztof Grzelczyk. While in Ottawa, Ms. Tegnazian also had an opportunity to catch up with Irene Tomaszewski who, among her many accomplishments was the author of Żegota, editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan Review, and co-founder of Poland in the Rockies.
