Aquila Polonica President Terry Tegnazian
Receives Bene Merito Award

 

 

At a ceremony on June 22, 2018 at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Warsaw, Aquila Polonica president Terry Tegnazian was presented with the Bene Merito Award. Ms. Tegnazian’s award, which was authorized on April 11, 2017, reads in English as follows:

“For a Friend of Poland in recognition for contributions made to the promotion and strengthening of the Republic of Poland on the international arena.”

Andrzej Papierz, Secretary of State for Polish Community Abroad, Consular Affairs and Public Diplomacy, presented the award to Ms.Tegnazian, after which she was asked to say a few words. Ms. Tegnazian was particularly happy to have family, friends and colleagues in attendance, including her husband Scott Whittle; Aquila Polonica creative director Ewa Wojciak; Aquila Polonica’s attorney in Warsaw, Oskar Tułodziecki and his family; Aquila Polonica author Julian Kulski (The Color of Courage); friend Peter Chudy; and Paulina Kapuścińska of the Foreign Ministry, former Polish Consul General in Los Angeles where Aquila Polonica is based, who was one of the first to recognize the importance of Aquila Polonica’s mission.
